UPWARD INFORMATION
This article does not take the place of 999
Scheme members should report any instances or events to their respective Scheme Coordinator
IN AN EMERGENCY, THEY MUST DIAL 999
For non-urgent matters, an observation alert may be sent from the Scheme Coordinator, the Area Coordinator (notified at time), or at the next meeting. In the absence of an Area Coordinator the Community Policing Team is notified
The NPT can be contacted direct for non-urgent matters, by dialling 101. This may be preferred if the matter is a personal one and not of public interest
Regular meetings should be held between Scheme and Area Coordinators
The Area Coordinator should be in contact with the CPT on at least a weekly basis, and should be able to contact them at any time.
Area Coordinators are encouraged to attend the Wiltshire & Swindon Neighbourhood Watch Association meetings. They may wish to send their Deputy Area Coordinator or a nominated Scheme Coordinator in their place. Alternatively, any queries may be communicated to the W&SNHWA by contacting the Chairman (see link in the top right hand corner of each webpage)
Neighbourhood Watch is at its most effective when there is a free exchange of information from all parties
